Today's Humans Are Light Deprived!
Since the development of indoor lighting, man has spent more time inside and less time outdoors. Children spend less than 1 hour a day outside, mostly in short periods going from one place to another, not in extended play. Without realizing it, we are living in another "dark age", little exposure to the essential, life-supporting natural sunlight.
Humans are scientifically proven to need light for healthy physical and emotional balance. Without adequate light exposure, we develop depression, anxiety, weakened muscle and organ function. Light deprivation is now scientifically proven to create disease within the body as well as mental and emotional disorders. We must have Light to Live!
Improper indoor lighting is a significant contributor to disease. Such organizations as the International Light Association (www.international-light-association.org) have shown through research that full-spectrum lighting is essential to good health. Studies also show that people who work night shifts or in heavy fluorescent lighting suffer illnesses at a greater rate. Fluorescent and standard lighting (including CFL bulbs) produce depleting red or yellow light frequencies, causing fatigue, headaches and other more debilitating issues. People who work under full-spectrum lighting are clearly healthier, happier AND more productive. Multiple studies have shown students in full-spectrum lighted schools have greater academic achievement, better health, better attendance AND fewer dental cavities. ONLY "FULL-SPECTRUM" lighting provides the sun's light frequencies.
