Qualities of Yellow Vibration

Want to focus better while you are writing? 

Use Yellow notepads (that's why the color was chosen by the manufacturer!)
Paint one wall of your office Yellow
Wear Yellow socks

Add Yellow accents to your desk or room

Why Yellow?

The vibration of Yellow stimulates the Sympathetic Nervous System, activates the nerve fibers, brain cells, memory and vision. 
Yellow vibration energizes, awakens and directs. 
It's the perfect color for coming alive. Subconsciously it reminds us of the Sun and we seek that light in the morning.  
It's a great color for kitchens, dining rooms, porches, basements - use only soft yellows for bedrooms as it can prevent deeper sleep, especially with children.
Word of caution - too much yellow depletes, can drain the digestive tract too quickly or overtire. It's compliment is purple.

Benefits of Drinking "Green"

Solarized water brings the qualities and healing abilities of a specific color into your body where these qualities can be absorbed. 
The benefits of green are - antibacterial properties, stabilizing blood pressure, relaxing and improving lung function, opening the heart chakra and bringing the feelings of joy, harmony, balance and love. Things we can all use today!
How to do? Take a clean, empty,plain green glass (not painted) bottle without label or writing, fill it with water and sit in a window for 24 hours. This allows the sun and moon energies (Pingala and Ida, Yang and Yin) to send the properties of green into the water. Drink several times a day and within a week you will feel better. This 'green' water will also taste a little sweeter and have a different quality than plain water.  Drinking colored water has many benefits - try it and see!

Daily Exercise - Become aware of your breathing. Breathing IS Life. Most people use only a small portion of their lungs. Proper breathing supports balanced physical, emotional and mental health by increasing the amount and type of prana you bring into your body. Breathe deeply, with equalized inhales, and exhales, and engage your diaphragm. You'll feel the difference!

The Danger of CFL Bulbs

CFL bulbs contain mercury and when broken in your home, pose a danger. Albeit the amount per bulb is small, but sensitivity and vulnerability is unique to each person. If the bulbs are to be disposed of at a recycling facility (or box at Home Depot or Lowe's), how safe can it be? Loaded into landfills, they do pose a problem to soil and water, and our planet. 
If broken in an infant's room, the baby is unnecessarily exposed to mercury at a very early and vulnerable age. 
Using full-spectrum incandescent bulbs is the best way to light your home and business, keep yourself healthy and balanced. Full-spectrum lighting supports healthy hormone balance, improves vision, learning AND is proven to reduce dental cavities!  Used in schools and workplaces, extensive research has shown improved health, less absenteeism, increased productivity and mental alertness, and improved test scores. Soft-white fluorescent bulbs have proven to contribute to anxiety, depression, hyper-activity, and other stress-related difficulties.  Try full-spectrum incandescent bulbs in your family room and bedroom - you will 'see' and 'feel' the difference!  They are warm, easy on the eye and comforting. Full-spectrum incandescent, not CFLs - a CFL is a CFL - contains mercury.  Keep those incandescent bulbs in your home.  They last for years. Relieving Depression with Orange

If you are dealing with depression and want to improve your mood, bring in some Orange. Orange flowers, such as mums, day lillies, and even roses help to bring enthusiasm, energy, movement and warmth. Orange is a combination of fiery red and the sunshine of yellow. It awakens the senses, emotions and encourages interaction.  
Orange pillows,vases, dishware, a bowl of orange fruit and other accents help to bring life into your world. Orange clothing can help awaken your energies and keep you alert and interactive. Look online for orange-tinted glasses to wear 10 minutes a day!
Depression relates to excessive blue in your energy field. Orange, blue's compliment, can help to correct that imbalance and bring you peace and connection.

Meditation with Green Light

Meditation with color is a great way to expand your meditation experience. Sit comfortably in a quiet place, close your eyes and visualize pure green light (the shade of grass) coming in through the crown of your head. With your inhale, see this green light coming to the center of your chest.  With your exhale, visualize this light becoming a ball. With each inhale and exhale, this ball of pure green light expands, eventually filling your chest and going down to your feet and up to your head. It expands and contracts with each inhale and exhale.  Only feel this peaceful light filling your body, cleansing and refreshing your cells, organs, muscles, nerves and entire body. When you feel this refreshment is complete, the ball of green light begins to shrink back to its original size in the center of your chest and then it enters your spine, going back out through your crown. Sit quietly until you are ready to go on with your day. In just a few minutes you can feel renewed, balanced and joyful. Green light is a very powerful refreshing and balancing tool and brings much support to a tired or stressed body and mind.  Use a softer, pure green color if you prefer, but the quality of green is peace, harmony, balance, and neutrality.  For now, use only this pure green light, no other colors.

Improve your Color Sense

An easy way to improve your awareness and connection to color is to use paint chips from the hardware store.

Select a variety of colors - at least red, green, blue, yellow, orange purple, pink, black and white.  Taking 3-4 at a time, turn them face down and scan them with the palm of your hand or hold each one separately  between your palms. Does red feel hot or cold? What does Blue feel like? Everyone's sensory perception for color can be different, but this exercise will help you understand the vibration of each color. You can quickly develop a sense of the vibration of each color and which ones appeal more to you from this perspective.  It's a great way to more closely understand the influence of color in your life. It's also a great way to teach children about color!

Your Color Palette?

Take a look at the colors in your home and wardrobe?  Which color is dominant? Which colors are absent? This will give you great insight into your personality, lifestyle, physical and emotional health and much more. Your memories are color related, and seeing colors brings them up in a subtle or unsubtle way. 

If you primarily wear one color, what is it saying about you?  How can you add better balance to your personal palette? Find its complimentary color and add it in. Even in a small amount it can begin to create balance. For example, people who are depressed use a lot of shades of blue; adding a bit of orange can bring a spark of joy and help connect you to the world outside.

Welcome to the new Color Therapy and Light Therapy blog.  In this space I will share techniques and insight on how effective Color Therapy and Light Therapy are and how you can easily use them to improve your daily life.

For example:   Blue light can effectively prevent and heal dental cavities.  Now taught in dental schools and used by many dentists, blue light directed onto the outside of the cheek will destroy bacteria in the mouth that creates cavity-causing plaque.

A really great way to use blue light is to rinse the mouth the blue light-infused water. How to make it?  Take a cobalt blue bottle (without label or words), fill it with water and sit it in a window for 24 hours.  The light coming through the glass will infuse the water with the blue vibration and give the same effect as blue light.  You can even taste a difference in this water versus plain water!  Does it work?  Absolutely.  A client of mine healed 3 cavities using only blue water morning and evening. His dentist was amazed at the improved quality of his teeth at their next appointment.
